SFC HONORS FURNITURE RETAILERS

The Sustainable Furnishings Council (SFC) has elevated three companies to the group's Silver Exemplary status as merchants who have made a significant commitment to sustainability in their operations. Minnesota-based Room & Board, Circle Furniture of Boston, and online retailer NATeco have met the revised standards. Performance standards in the new SFC criteria include wood sourcing, use of reclaimed materials, energy conservation, on-site recycling, training, and education.
