An appearance at LIGHTFAIR is not unusual for lighting veteran Jack Zukerman, but during this year's show last month, he was at the International Association of Lighting Designers' (IALD) booth to promote his book Let There Be Light, a decidedly different view of architectural lighting. Zukerman's entrepreneurial tale involves entertaining stories of his encounters with notorious personalities from movie stars to mobsters as he struggled to place his lighting in commercial projects. He also includes contributions from today's major lighting designers and chronicles the evolution of the discipline of lighting design.
