NAME CHANGE, SHOWROOM EXPANSION FOR ELK

Following its home decor company acquisitions beyond lighting, Nesquehoning, Pa.-based ELK Lighting is changing the parent company name to ELK Group International. According to company spokesmen, since the lighting company has expanded into accent furniture, decorative accessories, vanities, and other home decor items, it was decided to discontinue "lighting" in the corporation label. The new name reflects the increased scope of the company's markets. ELK Group International has also made a commitment for a new 10,000-sq.-ft. showroom at the World Market Center Las Vegas, Building A, Suite 416. The showroom will include Dimond Lighting, Sterling Industries, and Bailey Street, as well as select products from ELK Lighting, Landmark Lighting, and Artistic Lighting. The new space will be open in time for this year's Summer Las Vegas Market, July 30-August3.
