No one can predict what twists and turns life will take. In the case of Bethany Klausing, the path she took spun her into the world of ceiling fan design. While a studentrnat Auburn University in Alabama, she enrolled in a studio design class that Emerson sponsors every semester. This natural progression for industrial design students wound up being the catalyst for Klausing's career. In 2006, the students were instructed to create an air-circulating device. Every participant designed several fans and those were narrowed down to one that he or she would proceed with for the project.
