ARTCRAFT LIGHTING REBUILDS MONTREAL FACILITY

Artcraft Lighting recently celebrated the reconstruction and grand opening of its headquarters and newly expanded showroom. The decision to alter the facility was based on a few critical factors. "We decided to update our showroom and increase its size because our line has grown and expanded since we first built our facility 35+ years ago," says Scott Cohen, director/operations for the 56-year-old manufacturer. "We also wanted to display certain lines in a showcase style." The executive committee devised the construction plans and set up the space with the help of an outside designer plus Itzik Marcovici, plant manager at Artcraft, and Cohen. "We decided to rebuild our entire Montreal facility starting with the offices and then the showroom," Cohen reveals. "The new showroom is more than triple the size of our previous 700-sq.-ft. space, has higher ceilings, and displays more than 350 products. We are now able to merchandise much better, with some select series displayed in vignettes."
