When former football pro Nigel Farrow hung up his boots at Norwich and went back to run the family farm, he found, like most in agriculture that it was necessary to diversify. But not for Nigel the farm shop or the pick-your-own-crop business - he was to move into a different field altogether with the invention of the Farrow System -which was to clear the blight of graffiti across the country and bring many other benefits to boot. His method, which was specifically designed to produce a safe, environmentally friendly low-pressure cleaning method with chemical and toxic fumes, came to the notice of the BBC Tomorrow's World programme in February 2000. From that broadcast Nigel and the Farrow System has never looked back. Like most great inventions, necessity was its mother. In keen amateur sailor Nigel's case, the necessity was keeping the hull of his boat clean. And also like many other great inventions, it was only when its first use proved a success that it became clear how many other applications could be made.
