The Road Safety Foundation has released its key findings on the safety performance of the UK's motorway and A road network. The findings show that fatal and serious crashes reduced by 36 per cent over the last decade. Significantly, there was also a three percent increase in the number of people killed at 1901 in 2011 compared with the previous year. IHE President Richard Hayes said, "It is too early to draw any conclusion from this reverse, which is the first time this has occurred for many years."
