A host of contractors are waiting to find out which firms have been successful on the new £261 million Midlands Highways Alliance (MHA) agreement. A decision on the winners is due this month (March) with the new deal, known as MSF2, expected to start the following month and run until at least March 2017 and possibly until 2018. The MHA is commissioning the framework to cover highways procurement for 18 local authorities, which will use the agreement to appoint contractors for schemes totalling up to £25m in a faster and more cost effective manner.
