2006 PIA/GATF InterTech Awards

The Printing Industries of America/Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (PIA/GATF) has announced II recipients of the 2006 PIA/GATF InterTech Technology awards. In all, 35 nominations were submitted and reviewed by panel of independent judges. The judges were impressed with the quality of the entries and felt each technology would be of benefit to the industry. Touchless workflow, package printing and Web-to-print technologies were common themes of this year's entrants. As evidenced by their comments, the judges felt these are technologies that the industry needs. One judged summarized this feeling: "This is what people have wanted for years — workflow, automation and incorporating the Web into the process."
