Old favourite via new technology

How much do I owe to BBC Radio 3? Almost everything, I think. Without it, I'd have discovered Bach and Beethoven but I might never have listened to Janacek, Tippett, Ives... the list is endless. I've also been tuning in to 'Jazz Record Requests' since the Third Programme became Radio 3, 40 years ago.As the BBC celebrates the anniversary of that makeover, my loyalty is unshaken. Recent cosmetic changes, though, make me realise that I am no longer the kind of listener Radio 3 is aiming at.
