Every now and again out pops a product from Harman Kardon's R&D labs to remind us of the company's engineering prowess and audiophile roots.rnSuch is this combination of HD990 CD player and HK990 integrated amplifier. The super slim CD player sports optical and electrical digital inputs as well as outputs, along with balanced analogue outputs on XLRs. Meanwhile the equally modish carcass of the integrated amplifier disguises the fact that a beast lurksrnbeneath the bonnet. It sports both MM and MC phono inputs alongside its multiple analogue and digital inputs [see pic caption].
