IFA SHOW 2009

The end of the dark period is definitely in sight' predicted IFA International, organisers of what is claimed to be the World's biggest CE/Home Appliance trade event. Hosted in Berlin, this year's IFA Show certainly benefitted from news that Germany was formally out of recession, but while home appliances were 'up', the scale of audio/AV and TV consumer electronics looked to be slightly 'down'. The global financial crisis has seen an inevitable slowdown in big budget R&D and so there was no new "big thing' to tickle the imagination, or wallets, of visiting consumers.
