Dave Matthews Band saxophonist LeRoi Moore dominates this album. Moore died following a tragic vehicle accident while this album was being produced, but the music is far from despairing, coming across more as a celebration of their departed friend's life than a sorrowful farewell. Moore appears on the cover as a huge and somewhat grotesque head on the front of a parade float at the Mardi Gras in New Orleans, and that is certainly the spirit the band has caught in these grooves. As America's top-drawing live band, the Dave Matthews Band has never quite captured British hearts, but only the hardest could resist their reckless drive, passion and tightly-focused energy this time around.
