This £800 'plug and play' HDD is the new XiVA musicm8 (pronounced 'Zeeva Music Mate'), a 1TB capacity 'rip, store and stream' NAS drive that can partner music streaming products such as the Sonos multiroom system, Logitech Squeezeboxes and Linn DS units. Designed to be a fast, efficient and simple to use 'digital jukebox', it automatically rips CDs without the aid of a PC. Audio data and metadata are stored in a variety of user-selectable grades of sound quality and file size types - including WAV and FLAC - for communication over a home network.
