The list of super hi-fi and surround options for BD is now as long as your arm. The Blu-ray Disc Association just made it longer by adopting China's 'DigiRise DRA' compression system as an option. All very exciting, but the BDA has lost sight of basic issues that matter much more. Take regional coding.rnBlu-ray uses an A,B,C letter code scheme instead of the old DVD Region 1, 2, 3,4, 5, 6 number scheme which most people finally learned to understand. Creating a different system was bad enough. What makes things worse is the abject failure of the BD Association and studios to explain the new system to everyday consumers.
