There could hardly be a follow-up to his 2007 album Senza, but this starts with Ibrahim again alone at the piano in an arresting, crystalline solo on 'Green Kalahari.' Then, with magical effect, the WDR Big Band steals in with the lyrical 'Song For Sathima'. They rock joyfully through Ibrahim's 'Mandela' without his help, but soloist and orchestra come together again stunningly on 'Meditation' as the pianist's musings turn into a slow, sad waltz, gather momentum and segue into 'Joan Capetown Flower'.
