Last month, in a screed against bad sound in live performances, I mentioned what the pro audio community might learn from audiophiles - in particular, what mixers of live sound could gain by paying more attention to midrange warmth. Simply dialling back the screech factor and sound pressure level would do wonders towards making live performances more enjoyable.
