As a rule, we stay away from writing about retailers, because they tend to be a local phenomenon. Someone reading this in Aberdeen will hardly be interested in hearing about a shop in Penzance. But a recent visit to London's KJ West One was an eye-opener, . answering a prayer I've recited to all and sundry,- for more than 20 years. That this lavishly-appointed store addressed every aspect of selling hi-fi equipment was a given: a number of different-sized listening rooms to accommodate a range of customer needs, great sound, a wide (but wisely chosen) array of equipment.
