One of the nicest surprises I experienced exactly 40 years ago, upon arriving in the UK, was hearing this LP by a UK bluesman unknown to me. By then it was four years old and Bennett would only live another four, killed in a car accident. What we lost was one of this country's finest practitioners of the genre, I heard here in his solo debut, backed by the then-hot Fleetwood Mac: Messrs Green, Fleetwood and McVie. This LP heralded a small catalogue of immaculately authentic blues, his virtuosity not limited to, but mainly heard via, harmonica.
