Due for release this summer. Last Shop Standing is a 60-minute documentary inspired by the 2009 book of the same title. The film comes from production company Blue Hippo Media, best known for the award-winning feature film The Insatiable Moon, and is a collaboration with Proper Music Distribution Ltd and our very own Hi-Fi News magazine. In an absorbing and entertaining read, the book's author Graham Jones depicted the plight of the fast-dwindling independent record shops against the background of 'an industry in turmoil,' while paying tribute to the brave spirits who are determined to be among the 'last shops standing'.
