Manley Stingray iTube

Manley's Stingray design was revamped substantially in 2009 to include this iPod dock-equipped version. You can buy it without the dock connector for £3750 - but so little is the price difference that nobody ever does, according to our UK distributor. The Stingray's unusual-looking design comprises a passive preamplifier section with two monoblock power amps in an integrated chassis. Each channel employs a 12AT7 input triode and 6414 driver tube with four EL84 output valves. Bias must be set manually - the amplifier is supplied with simple instructions and a multimeter for this.
