This was LP of the Month last May, but the SACD deserves special mention, particularly in light of the 'SACD Revival' in full swing in Japan, and reaching parts of the global audiophile community. Not everyone is wedded to vinyl, so it's worth learning that this digital alternative is so musically satisfying that the alternative format is just as worthy. Playable for the most part as either two- or three-channel mixes, the discs contain 38 songs spanning Cole's career up to 1961, re-recordings that present these classics in glorious, airy stereo. This set also features the two bonus cuts, 'Ramblin' Rose' and 'Those Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Days Of Summer'.
