An unexpected delight for Holly fans, who might have thought that Rollercoaster had emptied the vaults, or that the MCA box-sets were the end of the line. This package presents Holly's last six recordings, the home-made sessions recorded on his 3-track Ampex 401A and known as 'the Apartment Tapes', remixed in mono and stereo and remastered in the hope of correcting the drop-outs, speed anomalies and other flaws that have marred the tracks for over 50 years. This CD is probably unique.in terms of audio archaeology, given that the material is so familiar.
