KEB'MO'

摘要

Though sorely tempted to include his eponymous debut, especially ; as it's more characteristic of this blues revivalist's work, I have been charmed to the point of zero resistance by Keb' Mo's 2004 album of cover versions of peace movement songs. While my politics are so far to the right that I consider Cameron a commie and Bush a Bolshevik, I can wallow in this peace/love/ understanding naivete because the performance is sincere, and the sound is as good as any audiophile disc I can recall, especially the piano and Keb' Mo's textured vocals. Hippie drivel to be sure, but stunning nonetheless.
