Peak Consult's claim of 88dB sensitivity for the Princess V is about 3dB optimistic according to our measurements, which recorded a pink noise figure of 85.3dB averaged for the review pair. This is a low figure for a floorstander of this size, surely reflecting the fact that the internal volume is a lot less than the external dimensions suggest because of the form of construction. An impedance specification of 6ohm linear down to 60Hz indicates that compensation is applied to remove the impedance peak at the tweeter's fundamental resonance, and might also suggest that the Princess V is unusually easy to drive.
