Chord Company Epic Twin

Epic by name and epic by design, Chord's speaker cable is much more substantial than its two 12-gauge conductors might imply. Beyond this simple twisted pair of multistranded, silver-plated OF copper conductors, both insulated in a colour-coded PTFE dielectric, lies a high density screen. The latter comprises both overlapping foil and braid, visible through its translucent brown PVC jacket. The two main conductors are clamped within a silicone filling, minimising any internal movement through vibration. Epic Twin is really a mix of Chord's existing Odyssey and Signature designs and achieves a blend of low resistance with a moderate 105pF/m capacitance. Only the 16Mohm leakage is a little below average.
