Atlas Cables Hyper 3.0

We've featured some very exotic cables from the Atlas stable in HFN, but its Hyper range is gratifyingly down-to-earth. Hyper 3.0 is the 3mm2 version of Hyper 2.0 and 1.0 with their, respectively, thinner conductor cross-sections. It employs a bundle of 60 6N-purity copper strands per side, each conductor insulated in a very high quality white PTFE dielectric and sheathed in a glossy black PVC jacket. The cable is 'cold-welded' into gold-plated 4mm banana plugs, much like the QED XT400, but these are not spring-loaded and not an especially tight fit into conventional 4mm amp/ speaker sockets. Technically, Hyper 3.0 offers a good mix of low resistance - just 37mohm for a 3m set - and low 170pF parallel capacitance.
