Hailing from the land of Haydn, Mozart and Schubert - to name just three of the great luminaries of western classical music -Crayon Audio is steadily making its mark in the hi-fi world. It produces a range of two rather minimalist stereo amplifiers that look nothing if not purposeful. The CFA-1.2 is the company's more expensive product, retailing for £4400 and available in a choice of silver or black aluminium finishes. Crayon is a collaboration between Dr Johann Pfennich and Roland Krammer, with the latter partner doing much of the electronic design work.
