The albatross of time seemed scarcely to have settled on Sir Neville's shoulders, as we saw from the Apr' 14 Festival Hall concert marking his 90th birthday, and Prom appearance that August. This particular 'Ancient Mar(r)iner' had no intention of slowing down and he continued recording and conducting until a final concert appearance in Padua only three days before his death on the 2nd of October 2016.
