Primare's NP5 network player brings the Swedish company's proprietary Prisma network technology to any system having a coaxial or Toslink digital input. Measuring just 143x36x125mm (whd) and priced at £450-or half that for existing owners of various Primare products under the Prisma Update Program -the NP5 provides wired and wireless Ethernet connection with AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Chromecast and Roon compatibility, with voice control available through Google Home devices and Google Assistant. The digital output may be set at 48kHz, 96kHz or 192kHz to suit the DAC to which the NP5 is connected. An RS232 port on the rear panel and bundled serial cable also allow control of volume, mute, power on/off and input selection with older Primare products.
