For decades Mobile Fidelity has been the most prolific source of audiophile LPs and now there's a range of MoFi turntables. Two models are offered with or without cartridges - though both have tonearms - the dearer UltraDeck+M reviewed here featuring a heavier platter, a more substantial plinth and isolating feet. Our review sample arrived with the optional 'Noise Dissipation' record weight which adds £ 199 to the £2499 price, but we would consider it a mandatory purchase. The MasterTracker MM pick-up fitted to the review deck - the top of the three-model MoFi cartridge range - costs £799 on its own, so represents a £300 discount.
