This £4500 turntable is a more affordable alternative to Luxman's PD-171A, having relocated controls and a fixed tonearm, as opposed to the '171 A, which allows for the arm to be changed for another make. The 'Japan Inc' S-shaped arm fitted here, with universal Ortofon headshell mounting system, does allow arm and cueing lever height adjustment and Luxman includes with its detailed owner's manual a set of Allen keys for this purpose.
