Those at the coal-face of the hi-fi industry will tell you there is a definite selling season: it begins as the nights start to draw in with a vengeance, and tails off with the first shoots of long summer evenings in the offing. All of which is understandable, I guess, but it does mean that our systems get a lot less use in the summer months, and more to the point a lot less music-listening happens.
