Between them they'd done it all, seen it all, heard it all. And now they were in self-imposed exile in Berlin, a survival strategy to distance themselves from all the temptations which, slowly but surely, seemed destined to destroy them. One of them was in particularly desperate need of the getaway. His name was David and cocaine was the hell hound on his trail, still howling after him back in Los Angeles. The other, Brian, was less of a mess but lacked direction, his convictions spinning like tops.
