Don't lose out on the information age of BIM

We are getting closer to the UK's BIM mandate deadline, which states that fully collaborative 3D BIM must be in operation on all Government-funded projects by April 2016 (with all project and asset information, documentation and data being electronic). The Government's clear commitment to putting BIM at the heart of the construction industry is not surprising, as BIM has been named as one of the five key areas in the Government's Construction 2025 Strategy document alongside the more established areas of innovation, skills, sustainability and construction's image. Targeted developments across these key areas are being heralded as the most effective actions to save time, money and resources that are currently being lost through outdated, inefficient processes.
