Prevent scale forming with water conditioner

Limescale is damaging and reducing the efficiency of customers' appliances by up to 12%, according to statistics from British Water. Statistics from the US Department of Energy state that a layer of limescale just imm thick will reduce a boiler's efficiency by 7.5%, increasing to 65% with a 12mm layer. Building Regulations Part L now dearly states that "where mains total hardness exceeds 200 parts per million, provision should be made to treat the feed water to water heaters and the hot water circuit to reduce limescale build up".
