Workers' Memorial Day targets 'good health and safety for all'

This year's international Workers' Memorial Day will focus on "Good health and safety for all workers whoever they are". The day is commemorated worldwide every year on 28 April through diverse activities by unions, campaigners and workers. The twofold purposes of the day are to "remember the dead: fight for the living", and the activities reflect both purposes. The last two memorial days campaigned around strong laws and enforcement in 2016 (HSB 448 p.22) and hazardous substances in 2015 (HSB 439 p.3).
