Emissionen aus Bitumen bei der Produktion von Bitumenbahnen und -dämpfungsfolien sowie beim Schweißen von Bitumenbahnen

The BITUMEN forum has been carrying out workplace measurements for hot bitumen handling for many years. Initially, the concentrations of vapours and aerosols of bitumen during production and torching of bitumen membranes were determined only in Germany. Since 2010/2011 such measurements have also been carried out in other European countries. A report is given on the current state of knowledge on exposure during this kind of work, taking into account the new proposal of the MAK Commission for a limit value. The exposure during the production of bitumen damping pads is also explained.
