DOCKSIDE GREEN

The Dockside Green project concerns a 15-acre property located on the inner harbor of Victoria, British Columbia. This is a classic industrial brownfield cleanup story, but on a large scale. What has become Dockside Green was an idle brownfield property with extensive metals and hydrocarbon contamination related to a long history of industrial use dating back to 1884. Operations included shipbuilding, roofing and shingle manufacturing, railway works, and asphalt production (among others).
