Equatorial Guinea is due to ship its first cargo before the first half is out, following the completion of a suspension bridge for loading LNG onto vessels. Equatorial Guinea is about to become an LNG producing nation with the imminent completion of its new 3.7 mta gas liquefaction plant and associated infrastructure at Bioko Island. Commissioning of the various plant units for the project's first LNG train began this past January and is ongoing; the first LNG cargo is expected to be loaded during the second quarter this year, ahead of the original October target date.
