The Port Authority of Valencia has granted Ter-minales Portuarias (Tepsa) authorisation to build a 103,000 m~3 bio-fuels terminal on a 29,400 m~2 plot of land close to its existing terminal. According to Tepsa, the new facility will alleviate the current shortage of storage space for the import of raw materials such as soya oil and rapeseed oil in the region and for the export of finished product. In addition, the new capacity will offer traders storage and blending capacity for bio-fuels and mineral diesel; there are currently no independent terminals in the Valencia region that offer these services.
