Honeywell Marine introduced its GasbaJ system for detecting and analysing hydrocarbon gas concentrations in enclosed spaces some five years ago. In time for this year's SMM show, the company has introduced a new generation, the DA400.rnThe new Gasbal comprises two main units, a digital analyser and a control unit. The DA400 analyser actually measures the concentration of hydrocarbon gases and has been designed for fitment in zone 0 hazardous areas, including in ballast tanks, pump rooms and other enclosed spaces where potentially explosive or toxic gases can build up.
