Oiltanking has completed the Phase 2 expansion of the Daya Bay terminal in Huizhou, China. The wholly owned chemical terminal has been equipped with another 18 carbon steel and stainless steel tanks, adding a total of 59,600 m~3 of capacity and taking total capacity to 80,150 m~3. At the same time, the new public jetty, Huizhou Daya Bay Oiltanking Petrochemical Public Jetty Co, has added two 5,000 dwt berths. The facility, in which Oiltanking has a 25 per cent interest alongside the developer of the petrochemical industry park, received its first vessel last month when Jian Xing 32 loaded 1,500 tonnes of methyl methacrylate for delivery to eastern China.
