Greif has revised its 2012 profit guidance for its financial year ending October 31. EBITDA is now expected to fall within the region of $445m to $465m compared with the company's previous guidance range of $500m to $525m. This drop is primarily due to lower than expected volumes. "Third quarter 2012 volumes for the company's rigid industrial packaging and flexible products businesses were below expectations primarily due to softer than anticipated market conditions," Greif says.
