"There's never a dull day in the tank storage industry," says Martyn Lyons, chairman of the Tank Storage Association (TSA) and managing director of Simon Storage. The same can be said of oil and distillates markets in the UK, with long-established oil majors and refiners continuing to withdraw from the country. Shell (Stanlow), Chevron Texaco (Pembroke) and Petroplus (Coryton and Teesside) have all either withdrawn from UK refining or ceased trading in the last couple of years.
