Stealthgas is to acquire two additional LPG tanker newbuildings, one of 5,000 m~3 due for delivery by the end of the year and one of 3,500 m~3 scheduled for first quarter 2015 completion. It now has 17 gas ships due to joint its fleet between March 2014 and August 2015 at a total cost of some $345m. Stealthgas now has firm finance commitments covering 13 of the new ships and expects to conclude the remaining four finance arrangements during the current quarter.
