IPSI - Improved Port/Ship Interface

摘要

A revolutionary concept for intermodal transport is under development by various European forwarders, shipping companies, shipyards and equipment suppliers. The main goal is to develop new concepts for flexible interfaces between land- and waterborne transport means. The vision of less freight on Europe's hard-pressed roadway network and the use of short sea shipping and inland waterways transportation as an alternative is a step nearer reality after the completion of the IPSI (Improved Port Ship Interface) project.
