As digitalisation progresses, the amount of data accumulated on board is also growing. Only effectively processed, they provide useful insights and also form the basis for far-reaching asset management, such as the »Digital Twin«. Siemens' »EcoMain« collects onboard data from various interfaces, processes the data to a consistent standard and provides the information on a common data platform. The data provide the basis for evaluations, calculations and predictions for operation and fleet optimisation.
