Lacy Kitchen Curtains

WHEN I MOVED INTO A NEW HOUSE RECENTLY, I wanted curtains over the kitchen window that would provide a bit of privacy and also let the sun shine in. A set of lacy handwoven curtains seemed to be the perfect answer, but there was just one problem: my loom isn't wide enough to weave panels that would cover my window. My solution? Weave multiple panels instead of the customary two! 1 Cut a piece of grosgrain ribbon 47" long to measure each panel as you weave. Mark the ribbon 1" from the end. This will be the starting line. From the starting line, measure 4" and make another mark for the plain-weave rod pocket. Measure another 39" from that mark for the lace area and then 2" for the plain-weave hem. Mark your ending line, which should be 1" from the end of your ribbon.
