Forget about commercial flights with their cramped conditions and irksome fellow flyers: Delta plans to offer its most loyal customers the possibility of living it up on one of the carrier's 66 private jets -the ultimate in upgrades. For a surplus in the region of US$300 to US$800, this promotion will be offered on selected routes and will include transportation to the departure airport's private aviation area and complimentary culinary delights will be offered on board. According to the airline, the availability of the programme will be limited to "specific markets where an available Delta Private Jets aircraft is otherwise not in use." Sadly, the costly upgrades will not earn travellers any extra frequent-flyer miles but you can't have it all!
